No minimum prices, no floors, no secret number a lot has to hit before we let it go. Every single lot opens at one dollar and sells wherever honest bidding takes it. Some nights that stings us. Most nights it packs the house. Either way, it’s the only way we’d want to be treated as bidders, so it’s the only way we run it.
Same deal on condition: every lot sells the way it is, and we photograph the warts on purpose. If a lot has a cracked handle, you’ll see the cracked handle.
Pickup day at the barn in Adair is half the fun. Trucks backed in, the crew hauling the big stuff, folks meeting neighbors they didn’t know bid against them all week. If you can’t make it, we pack your winnings ourselves and ship them to any of the lower 48.
